Even though he was crass and buffonish, I decided to aid him, if only to question why he needed a Chocobo so much. So, I set out to question the locals.

My search went far and wide, looking through all of Bentbranch Meadows until I found the woman in question: Aethelthryth. She seemed dejected, so I cheered her up a little, with a smile and a promise to ensure her birds would be safe.

My next stop proved elusive, as I was unable to find him for a good few minutes.

Then, I found him. A solitary man sitting on a rock, contemplating the world about him. Knowing this was a Manderville tradition to ponder the world around him, I sat with him for a whole bell.

Then, he spoke. His words were wise, and they knew how things seemed to work in the world regarding his friend.

Seeking out another angle, I was stopped by a local guard. He mistook me for a young adventurer, and told me flat out that there would be no shenanigans. I simply smiled and nodded in my amusement and headed on my way.

On the way back, I decided to ponder over this situation given to me. As a Manderville Man, I could very well influence the decision. But since people did not seem to recognize me, I felt it best to keep anon. And thus, I pondered into the evening.

Deciding on a course of action, I returned to the frustrated merchant and told him of the collection of desires. He was, to say the least, frustrated and paid me in coin.

Which I gave to Aethelthryth.

My day done, I decided to walk home. It would be a long journey but it would be worth the stretch of my legs. And I think I came up with a new piece! I will call it a Gyshal Ring.
